MVV is designed to be a relaxing place to come and discuss your favorite Vamp or Supernatural related books & movies. However, there are some rules that need to be followed to ensure the smooth running of our boards. First time offence will receive a warning and then if you are caught in breach of the rules again further action will be taken.
RESPECT OTHERS AT ALL TIMES!! We will not tolerate bullying of any form.
Excessive Swearing is not permitted. Some words are tolerated due to the nature of some of the topics in our forum. Swearing at other members will not be tolerated!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that opinion should be respected, even if you do not agree with it. Healthy debate on some topics is encouraged, however, please do not engage in topics such as racism, religion, sexism or any other topic that may be offensive to other members.
Signature’s are welcome! BUT – please no larger than 500pixels x 200pixels and no offensive language or photos are acceptable.
Avatars are to be no larger than 150x100 and again cannot contain offensive materials.
Animation is allowed in your avatar or signature but please be responsible and don’t have some outlandish flashing, distracting, blinding light things. A mods decision on the suitability of Siggys and Avatars is final.
Please post threads and comments in the appropriate forums. When starting a new topic, first verify that your topic has not already been posted. Keep repeat posts to a minimum, and above all, do NOT spam the board with multiple posts about the same thing, including personal news, personal websites, bumps, and such. One post in the appropriate area is sufficient for anything you have to share.
Do not start pointless topics!! And do not make posts with one word answers…..these are just annoying and will be deleted.
We have set up numerous ranks within MVV and as your post count grows so will your status. This does not however, mean that the more you post, the more authority you have on MVV boards. The only people with authority are the Daughters of Nyx and the Vampire Vixens (mods).
If you are new please do not hesitate to ask any questions. We are all here to enjoy the boards.
If you are an older member and you see a “fledgling” struggling please offer to help them out.
Generally speaking we are all here to have fun and obsess with each other. If we all follow the rules then there should be no problems.
1. What happens if I break a rule?
If you break a rule, then you will either be warned or banned. A ban of your user account may either be temporary or permanent. If you are given an official warning, using the built-in warning system, a further warning within the next 30 days will result in a temporary ban which will last 7 days. If you are not given an official warning, a user note may be added to your account and the incident may be logged for future reference.
While a ban will normally involve only a ban of your user account, in extreme circumstances, it is possible to block your IP address from the forums.
The administrators and moderators also have the right to edit, delete, move or close and thread or post as they see necessary, without prior
warning.
2.What happens if I see a thread/post which has broken a rule?
Please report the thread/post to the moderators and they will handle it in the appropriate manner.
Punishment-
As with most penal systems, the punishment for each offense will vary based on its severity, with past offenses taken into account. Offenses are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Normally, however, offenses will be treated in the following manner:
- First offense: Warning given to the user via private message.
- Second offense: Second warning given to the user with threat of account deactivation.
- Third offense: Temporary account deactivation.
- Fourth offense: Permanent account deactivation.
- Fifth offense: Permanent ban.
